Farm Club has been a trusted setting in the community since 2011.

How we do it.
Farm Club prides itself on being a responsive provider. This means that Farm Club actively seeks to respond to the needs, requests and individual requirements of our students, parents, carers and referring professionals. Learn more about our responsive practice here.
What we do.
We’re here to help students who may be at risk of permanent exclusion with the aim to reignite their desire for learning, socialising and cooperating with the ultimate goal of reintegration back into schooling. We offer interim support to primary and secondary ages.
Who we help.
Our services are offered to young people who have suffered trauma, who have SEMH needs or who are neurodiverse. The Farm Club staff team have a variety extensive knowledge and experience working with children from all backgrounds and all abilities.
Our impact.
Farm Club Ltd. has been established since 2011. Over the years we have seen our reputation go from strength to strength. We are grateful for the support from parents, carers, students and professionals alike, for their kind words and case studies that showcase Farm Club’s magic.
Our ethos.
We ensure inclusivity and equality for students and staff alike. We understand that in order for our students to assess and acknowledge their own needs and differences that we need to level the playing field between adults and children. Mutual respect is derived from this place.
Our aims.
We refer to our outcomes as our ‘4 key pillars’: Emotional Regulation, Compliance, Social Integration, Appetite for Learning & Development. We accomplish our key pillars through exceptional staff training and our curriculum, resulting in many successful reintegrations into schools.
Our basis of
learning
In order to fulfil the social, emotional and academic outcomes for our students, we’ve curated a curriculum that allows our young people to expand their knowledge across a variation of subjects, alongside those within the national curriculum. Being inclusive of outdoor exploration, learning through play and child-led sessions, in careful balance with an adult-led approach, enables children to view their education as broader than solely academic success. We see that this increase in cultural capital directly feeds into the inner-school progression and desire to invest further in their own education.

OUR PRACTICE
What does this
really mean?
In short, this means that Farm Club actively seeks to respond to the needs, requests and individual requirements of our students, parents, carers and referring professionals.
How do we
achieve this?
-
WE KNOW that funding can be a big barrier to getting young people the provision that they deserve. That’s why we make certain that the allocation of funds is met with quality across the board, from reporting to resources. Farm Club grants total transparency and honesty regarding each student’s readiness for reintegration back into mainstream or specialist schooling.
-
WE BELIEVE that diligence in safeguarding is paramount to the successful futures of our young people. At Farm Club, we do not only safeguard our young people from the events of their present or past, we also educate our students to make regulated and safer choices throughout their lives. We help children to acknowledge their own needs and advocate for themselves.
-
WE UNDERSTAND that not all children’s needs look the same. Throughout the referral process we get to learn more about each individual and have the ability to tailor the provision accordingly. This is applicable to the induction process, timeframe for provision needs as well as staff pairing. We have guidelines in place to ensure fairness and equality for every student.
-
WE ACKNOWLEDGE that schools and settings are currently facing an unprecedented number of student absences. Where a child cannot or does not attend our setting, we make every effort maintain connections with our students, whether virtually or in consistent attempts to re-enage the young person with the setting.
Farm Club’s Timeline
Every step of the journey at Farm Club has been committed to serving the community and those who need us most. Our mission has always been to open our doors to people who may not get the same opportunities elsewhere. For years, we have understood the importance of the outdoors and all that comes with it. From animal care to plant care, we know that interaction with our outdoor surroundings has a significant impact on our mental, emotional and social wellbeing. See our timeline below to understand how we have captured this essence at every juncture.
In the midst of the pandemic, there was a surge of referrals to Farm Club. This led us to take a big step and renovate the provision to accommodate.
By 2023, we had fully adjusted to the newly refurbished Farm Club setting, welcoming new animals, facilities, staff and students to the site.
Farm Club became a favourite spot as a pillar of the local community, opening it’s doors to growing and animal care for all ages and abilities.
This is where the Farm Club journey began. A piece of land, just outside the centre of St Ives.
School trips and educational visits were already in full swing - Farm Club was readying itself to cater for educational needs as a full time AP.
A cafe was introduced to the setting, serving healthy home cooked foods for all in the community to enjoy.
